We are truly excited to recognize Lacresha McDaniel as the 2023 Jim Ellis Client Champion! Lacresha is one of our Mercedes-Benz of Atlanta South tag and title clerks. Lacresha was nominated by general manager, Ryan McIntyre.
The Jim Ellis Client Champion award has been presented monthly since 2014 to a Jim Ellis employee who goes above and beyond to deliver the Jim Ellis Promise to one of our guests. With more than 1,600 employees in the organization, only a small percentage of employees each year receive this honor.
Here is the story behind why Lacresha was nominated as the monthly Client Champion:
We recently had a situation where a client from Alabama bought a new 2023 C-Class from us on a Saturday. After a week of contemplation, she ultimately determined that the vehicle wasn’t the right fit for her. She contacted us for assistance and we decided to work out a deal to trade her into a previous design CPO C-Class that would be a better fit.
With the demand being high for the new C-Class she traded, it was not long before we had another customer ready to purchase that car again. It is a challenging task to quickly resell a car that has been returned and is already undergoing the titling process with the returning owner. It causes the temporary tag to be in a situation of likely expiring before the title can be released and retitled for the new owner.
This car posed a unique challenge where Alabama ended up titling the vehicle incorrectly by listing our dealership as the lienholder instead of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services (MBFS). Without the selfless help of Lacresha, this error was undoubtedly going to further delay the process of getting the title so we could register it to the new owner. Lacresha, as she always does, went above and beyond to find a quicker solution for the new owner. After making several calls to MBFS, DeKalb County and Alabama, she was able to persuade them into making some exceptions and corrections to this title that would help expedite the process of plating the car before the temporary tag expired.
Lacresha certainly could have left this customers fate in the hands of Alabama and the previous owner, but Lacresha has never been one to give anything less than 110%. We are certainly glad to have Lacresha on our team, as her impeccable leadership qualities are what allows Jim Ellis customers to expect the best.
